The 3rd season was originally scheduled for release in 2021 but it was delayed and after such a long wait, JX3 Season 3 donghua is now coming this year as it is slated to premiere on July 8, 2022, on Bilibili.
The announcement of its release date was posted on its official Weibo account along with a sneak peek at its upcoming opening theme which features a more artistic side to the donghua and all the actions that comes within instead of all the usual humor that we often get from it.
Prior to JX3 Season 3 donghua, a spin-off series was released from October 24, 2020, until February 27, 2021; which features a rather laid-back adventure of our main character in the Ancient Chinese capital city of Chang’an.
Handling the production of JX3 Season 3 donghua is Shengying Animation, the same studio behind iQIYI’s popular isekai donghua You Yao (Are You OK?) as well as the 2021’s BL series Drowning Sorrows in Raging Fire, an adaptation of a danmei novel by Priest. Meanwhile, Seasun Pictures has served as one of its producers along with Bilibili. Zhou Mei is serving as the chief director of the donghua with Yueshan Youwu as ADR director.
