One of iQIYI’s Chinese anime lineup for 2021 is No Choice But to Betray Earth!, a hilarious comedy donghua that had been announced to be released in June 2021. Although, a certain Weibo user, No Choice But to Betray Earth! anime release date is slated for June 11, 2021, but there’s no official confirmation yet.

No Choice But to Betray Earth! Anime Overview
The series is one of iQIYI’s projects this 2021 along with other popular titles such as You Yao Season 2, Xie Wang Zhui Qi Season 3, and the brand new adaptation of Da Zhu Zai. Shen Ying Animation which previously animated You Yao will handle the project with iQIYI and Energy Studio serving as its producers.
No Choice But to Betray Earth! anime is adapted from a manhua of the same title, Zhi Hao Bei Pan Qi Qiu Le. The manhua was previously adapted into a live-action drama starring Liu An Qi, Li Qing, Wang Jia Yu, and Gu Shu Qi which was also produced by iQIYI and was released from July 3 – July 14, 2020, on a daily basis with 12 episodes in total and 10 minutes duration per episode. It is also titled Had to Betray the Earth.
Lu Fan, a white-collar urban woman who has always considered herself a more ordinary woman than anyone else, is suddenly abducted by an alien one day. The alien, who claims to be from Saturn, tells the absurd reason for their invasion of Earth, and that the key to the invasion plan is to make Lu Fan fall in love with him and then betray the Earth. In the funny daily life with the Saturnian, aliens from various planets start to appear around Lu Fan one after another! These aliens have their objectives, but because of their intertwined destinies, they all end up in Beijing.
