The popular boys-love Chinese anime Tianbao Fuyao Lu Season 1, also known as Legend of Exorcism or Legend of Tang is coming to Netflix on June 30, 2021.
Many fans of the donghua were thrilled and surprised when Netflix added the series to their upcoming list, in fact, it’s not only Tianbao Fuyao Lu but also The Daily Life of the Immortal King. Both series are listed as part of bilibili’s Chinese anime lineup for 2020 and had been well-received by donghua fans.
Legend of Exorcism is one of the many boys-love Chinese anime that we had from last year along with the Scumbag System, Heaven Official’s Blessing, and Antidote. The story follows a young half-demon half-human Kong Hongjun who was summoned to join the Exorcism division in Changán to eliminate demons and supernatural creatures that threatens the empire’s stability.
The donghua was animated by Sparkly Key Animation, the studio behind China’s most popular anime Soul Land, and other famous donghua like The Legend of Qin and Wu Geng Ji. It was inspired by a danmei novel of the same title by author Fei Tian Ye Xiang and was first published in 2017.
Legend of Exorcism Synopsis
After leaving Yaojin Palace, Kong Hongjun arrives in Changán to battle demons and forms a bond with exorcism squad chief Li Jinglong.
So far, we only had the first season of the Legend of Exorcism coming on Netflix. However, the donghua had premiered its 2nd season last April 25 and still ongoing its releases on bilibili right now. Hopefully, we might also get the 2nd season added on Netflix in the future.
