A set of promotional posters and videos had been revealed for the upcoming donghua adaptation of the Chinese web novel Kaiju Yi Zuo Shan, promising a hilarious and fantastic ride to many viewers this 2022. The donghua was first unveiled as part of the upcoming Chinese anime lineup of Tencent Video during their annual conference last August 8, 2021.
Last month, the official Weibo page of the series has unveiled a short teaser trailer for Kaiju Yi Zuo Shan, now, several teasers and posters had been posted online which makes fans excited to a new story that they’ll follow as the series joins the ranks of Chinese isekai anime like The Demonic King Who Chases His Wife, Scumbag System, Are You OK?, Planting Manual, and many more.
As previously mentioned, Kaiju Yi Zuo Shan‘s production is handled by Beijing Qiyuan Yinghua studio, which is known for its works on Hitori no Shita: The Outcast Season 4, and The Graverobber’s Chronicle: Qinling Sacred Tree – both aired in 2021. Tencent Penguin Pictures and Tencent Pictures are producing the series.
The upcoming donghua will also involve antics from other genres of Chinese animation such as martial arts (wuxia), action, and adventure, and will adapt the story of a popular manhua of the same name by Fu Sheng, and originally adapted from the Chinese web novel written by Hamo Dawang.
The series who also goes by another title, Starting a Mountain is scheduled for release on April 15, 2022 on Tencent Video.
