It may sound scary or creepy but Face on Lie (Huang Yan) opening theme song shouts so much quality. Yeah, it’s been a while since the last time we had a Chinese anime that goes outside of the usual antics of cultivation and martial arts, now this upcoming donghua from Bilibili goes a bit political and social with a contemporary story on which many viewers can resonate with its message.
With a story revolving around a socially powerful and relevant theme concerning beauty standards in the modern world, Face on Lie has perfectly depicted this message in its opening theme which both sounds and looks hauntingly enigmatic and beautiful.
