Hey guys, Tao Yao, Liu Gongzi, and Moya are returning for Bai Yao Pu Season 3, that is after the well-loved supernatural donghua’s sequel has been revealed during the bilibili annual conference that took place this November 20, 2021.
Bai Yao Pu Season 2 has just recently concluded last September after its dramatic and heartfelt story that runs through the summer lineup of Chinese animation. The series had successfully delivered all the feels that we are expecting from it, although, we haven’t been able to get answers about the mystery that we thought should’ve been addressing which is the Manual of Hundred Demons that went missing as revealed during the finale of the 1st season.
Furthermore, we are also expecting to get a glimpse at Tao Yao’s past which had been hinted at in both the opening and ending theme of the 2nd season but I think we might be getting there too Bai Yao Pu Season 3. Nevertheless, we get to take a look at Tao Yao’s character a little bit deeper as she has shown what she’s really felt and thought deep inside instead of simply knowing her carefree nature. Nevertheless, we’re quite happy that Mr. Liu finally getting more screentime than he usually had from the 1st season and it is amazing to see her interaction with Tao Yao as well as the role that Moya plays in the group.
Bai Yao Pu Season 3 Release Date
In the latest announcement on the official Weibo page of Bilibili and the donghua, Bai Yao Pu Season 3 is scheduled for release on July 25, 2022. Fans should take note that a new studio is handling the production and this time, it is CMC Media taking it over from Haoliners Animation League.
Nevertheless, Bai Yao Pu Season 3 will once again promise a heartfelt journey of meeting and partings, and getting to know that thin thread that bounds humans and demons, and the connection they had shared – whether it’s good or bad. One thing I have learned about Bai Yao Pu though is that every story tells a lesson, every journey had a meaning, and every action had a reason.
Every story that Tao Yao’s group had encountered is all filled with reasons, no matter how irrational or illogical it may be, it shows that even demons can be as humane as the morals. The story meticulously treads the path of raising questions about human moral standards and our emotional weakness as human beings.
