A day before the scheduled bilibili annual conference on November 20, a new promotional poster for the long-overdue donghua The Last Summoner had been revealed. This leads many fans to get excited and reignited the burning flame of excitement after the long wait since it’s been ages since we haven’t heard new updates about the donghua which we all thought had been left in oblivion after it’s supposed to premiere in the summer of 2020.
Now, it is great that the donghua is still in production and hasn’t been canceled. The Last Summoner was first unveiled as part of the donghua lineup of bilibili for 2020. But almost 2 years later, the series hasn’t been released yet making the fans anxious if it will ever still go through.
However, we can just assume that it is still a thing as bilibili will once again unveil the series as part of their Chinese anime lineup for 2022 along with several returning big sequels, and newly adapted and original works.
The Last Summoner or also known as Zuihuo De Zhaohuan Shi an upcoming Chinese anime from Ask Animation Studio, known for Start to be a Star Today series on iQIYI. The donghua was adapted from a manhua series of the same title.
Synopsis
