The highly anticipated return of Xi Xing Ji Season 4 is now scheduled for June 1, 2022 which will continue the exciting story and journey to the West along with the usual gang that we’ve been following since the series started a few years ago.
The series is one of Tencent’s upcoming donghua from their spring 2022 guide which includes some of the biggest and highly anticipated titles such as Martial Universe Season 3 which premiered last May 1, and others like The Black Troop Season 3, Sweet Bite Marks, Throne of Seal, and Legendary Twins.
Xi Xing Ji or also known as The Westward is another version of the infamous The Journey to the West and this is adapted from a manhua of the same title by Jianhe Zheng with character designs from Zhihui Deng.
The donghua adaptation had been animated by studio BYMENT and was first released on July 18, 2018 with the 2nd season having been released in 2021.
Synopsis
The journey to the West was a conspiracy of heaven! After Sutra went missing for more than a decade, Heaven sent its army to search, in order not to let the Sutra once again fall into the hands of heaven, the journey to the West begin again.
